Slurry Explosives or Water gels are known as 3rd generation of commercial explosives that has taken over traditional explosives like ANFO & Gun Powder. Slurry explosive is a mixture of ammonium nitrate or other nitrates and fuel sensitizers which can either be a hydracarbon or hydracarbons and aluminium. Slurries are made water-*resistant through the use of gum, waxes, cross linking agents or emulsifiers.

It is usually used as a Bottom charge to remove Toe formation in benches of Open Cut Mines. KELPRIME is efficient water gel boosters that can detonate at a very high velocity of detonation and temperature.

KELVAN – EXTRA Manufactured by Keltech Energies Ltd. KELVAN EXTRA is a high energy column charge which is detonated along with KELVEX-600 or KELVEX-800 for blasting in hard and medium hard strata conditions. It is usually used as column charge to break hard rocks like Sandstone, Limestone and other similar rocks. KELVAN – EXTRA are efficient water gel column charge that can detonate at a reasonably high velocity of detonation and temperature. KELVAN – EXTRA can be stored for a moderate period in ambient conditions without any significant change in quality and efficacy. KELVAN – EXTRA can be used effectively with cap-sensitive charges in dry or wet boreholes, at predetermined intervals in a column of explosive charge.
